Lately I've seriously been thinking about getting some fender flares for my 93 hatch. My plan would be to, at first run my Z32 TT rims with some fat spacers. I know the TT rims arent super blingy, but I figure they look somewhat close to Porsche Carerra rims....and Porsches can pull the "flared" look off with those style rims...so....I figure I'd give it a shot.

Problem is, I'll more than likely be using sportlines+AGX...and I don't exactly realize how those guys in Japan run wide 16inch+ rims with fender flares and NOT rub the fender. I realize that I can roll the fenders, but for the rims to be flush with the fender flares, I doubt rolling them will do anything.

Whats the secret to not rubbing the top of the tire on the fender and still running flush with the flares??

thanks,

i think you are confused
rolling fenders tucks that lip up so you can put the wheel right up against it

ive seen so flush there is 1mm space between the wheel lip and the fender.

that's flush
or when the lip slightly sticks out past fender and tire is stretched maximum. so hot.

anyways..roll the fenders
get your alignment...then figure how big a spacer you need.

oh with fender flares you cut out the fender underneath it..you dont just slap those on and not touch the fender

wide fenders (rear) you cut the stock fender up

Hehe...yep....I guess I had no idea how fender flares work (I didnt realize you had to cut the fenders out).

thanks for the info.
