i believe it controls the motor for the power antenna. it was plugged in and stuffed in the pocket back there also the red and blue wires run to the antenna motor. this thing is trashed. i would like to replace it so i can have a working antenna. any ideas on where to get one? i dont have any junk yards around here. incase it helps, its a 92 hatch.

the antenna you have in the car is a aftermarket judging by the blue an red wires it is a Metra power ant. throw the box away you dont need it ,just run the wires up to you aftermarket radio red is power an the blue is remote

so there is no ground for it? to test to see if the motor works all i would have to do would be to touch those two wires to positive then right? ill check the wires behind the radio and the wires on the harness to make sure they match up.
1. put wire to power to check antenna
2. if it works, check wires on rear harness/behind radio to make sure correct
3. if it worked and wires are wrong, run new wire from red/blue to radio
^^^Best way to attack it?

ok i took the antenna out and hooked it straight to the battery works great. i dont have any extra wire to run it to the front so im gonna search for the wiring diagram i know i saw it before.....if those 2 wires are all thats needed, why are there several more wires and a circuit card?
