i know it's kind of an obvious change, but try capping off that port and using a "T" fitting on the upper port that's not for the FPR.
I know a lot of people say T off the FPR port, but i prefer to have my FPR on its own dedicated port so it doesn't get interrupted :D

Is that on the throttle body? you want to make sure that the vacuum source is post throttle plate on the intake manifold; that's where your vacuum is.
My boost controller is already T'd from the FPR vac
yeah thats the underside of the throttle body, im not sure which nipples are post or pre butterfly :s
shall i just try a different one or does anyone know for sure?
thanks

Yeah, he's showing from the bottom of the TB, i'm referring to ABOVE the TB... there's a port right beside the FPR port... not that it really matters, as they all draw from the same vacuum....
OR if you want to get fancy, i've heard of people drawing from a new hole drilled and tapped in the plenum itself, although this is more work than it's worth for me :D

If you are running an EBC (Electronic Boost Controller), they usually have a display for the current vacuum / boost level. You could use this as a reference to see the difference between what the two ports are reading.
Personally, i'd t off the other port, or t off the boost controller for the gauge. The TB plate is different.

i dont have a sr but dont they already have a stock location for a boost gauge?
i have a rb and it has a location on the back of the IM for a stock boost gauge, but yea i would t it off a different location.. thats probley a idle port or something to do with the iacv that closes off after the car warms up
