View Full Version : How to remove Clutch Pedal
ok like the title says. I'm going to head up to the junkyard in a few days. What the best way to remove the clutch pedal? last tim i tried i think i used a 10mm socket. Removed the bolts that was on the clutch master cyclinder that was connected to the pedal. So i got those off but i couldn't get the pedal off.
So whats the best way and what tools do i need?
thanks

onceyou remove the two bolts you need to disconnect the M/C/ and the pedal should be an axel pin with a retianer of some sort i cannot remember exactly but the 10mm and a pair of needle nose pliers should accomplish the desired result
P.S. wire cutters for the clutch interlock switch wires
theres one more bolt, just look around its on the top of the metal pedal bracket and bolts to the car...check it out

the bolts on the clutch MC are 12mm iirc, after you diconnect that, get under the dash and there is a pushrod connected to the pedal with the clevis pin and another pin holding that into place, slide that out and the brake MC should come out of the firewall
unbolt the bracket for the pedal and voila
heres an old picture that i used to point out the clevis pin and bracket, maybe it will help

My clutch pedal had three nuts holding the pushrod in place, one in front of that metal thing with the cleavis pin, the other two behind the metal thing. I only saw one of the nuts behind the metal, it was a pita to get it loose so I could adjust pedal height. Once I knew it was there, easy.

1 and 2 are completely irrelevant, i stole this pic from somone on here or fresh alloy :o, that was where they broke the bracket.
