OK, saturday was my first time driving in snow and i accidently hit a tree. It gave me a dent and it ripped off the sidemarker on the drivers side. So instead of getting the orangish stock ones im looking for some clear corners. I already checked out clearcorners.com and they seemed kind of expensive. Anyone know of some good site that have good prices?? Help would be appreciated.

I think www.clearcorners.com is your best bet. I was shopping around a while back and some of the cheaper ones you can find didn't really look like good quality. I know that the clearcorners parts are quality.

Another option is to just remove your side makers and fill in the holes. It might not be legal in your state, but so far no cops have noticed that my car hasn't had them for a while. Plus its much smoother.

Best of luck,
Matt

If you dont want to spend the dough, try to locate some aftermarket ones.

I cant say anything good about the aftermarket stuff, its usually pretty crappy. BUT, the S13 uses the same sidemarkers as the older 95-ish altima.. so, goodluck.. maybe you can find something.

Also, some people put the M-B M-class side-signals on.. but I think those look kinda bad. Thats just me, I guess I am accustomed to that OEM look.

Either way, the products you see on the site are there for people who want something that looks and fits like stock. If you want better, we offer single and dual LED as well. We also offer the sidemarkers in clear OR in smoke.

As you can see, there's really no other company around who's willing to go out of their way to make sure that the product WILL match with the look you are going for.

We have 1 set in stock fully dis-mantled ready to be converted to clear, smoke, and/or LED. Feel free to e-mail me if you're interested, I'll do my best to help.

just buy the ml320 side markers and do the converion to them. They are really cheap iirc $4 each. Check out the install section i think for a step by step guide on how to do it.

Of course they aren't as nice as mike's, but they work for me. I got some nice hyper white bulbs and they look cool at night.

Also if you decide to go with these or any other clear side markers you should at least pick up a set of clear front turn signals to match them. You can get them off ebay for like $25 or so.

Clearcorners stuff is pricier than the ebay schlock because you're paying for quality.

That pretty much sums up everything.

It's all dressy 'schlock' to me. don't want to pay aloto cash for borderline rice mods.

a carbon fiber hood is more of a borderline rice mod than having nice looking lights and bulbs on your car.

clearcorners look so much better than stock amber stuff.

haha that's a good one.

But anyway what's the purpose of getting clear markers when you still have gay ass amber bulbs, that totally defeats the purpose of it.

What are you scared of the ticket fairy??

Guys guys.. can you please stop the shit talking? I'm starting to feel left out here... ;)

S14db, the saying has not changed.. you get what you pay for. If you want to purchase a light that is mass produced and not as good as OEM, then let that be your choice. There is no need to wonder why the majority of clear/aftermarket lamps are made overseas and cost a fraction of what OEM costs, the quality of the lamps are never as good as OEM. From the type of connectors they use, to the sealant, to the type of plastic they use -- all comes down to price vs quality.

When aftermarket companies sell lights, their number one goal is mass producing a product that is different, less expensive, and profitable. Most of the time, they DONT care about selling a DOT-compliant product.. they just want to make a buck.

When OEM companies manufacturer a light, they have to create a product that is reliable, conforms to DOT-specs, and will be able to endure being used day in and day out. This is why they cost money, because they dont suck.

I am not saying all this to criticise what you purchased for your car, you are more than entitled to put whatever you want on your car and I am not here to judge you or your car. What I am saying, is that what we sell is DIFFERENT and completely custom fabricated. You want smoked sidemarkers? We can do it. You want TRUE LED sidemarkers? We can do it. You want your sidemarkers to lightup white and signal amber? We can do it.

We can do whatever you want AND more with any of your lights. Thats why the site exists, for people who DONT want to purchase a "borderline ricey" product and simply care about lighting.

If you think upgrading lights = rice, then why do so many people tell me the lighting conversions done on my car look so damn good? Not saying this to brag, just saying that certain products are a mix of performance and styling.

bottom line clearcorners = pricey but quality. if you want pos aftermarkets then just go ahead and buy it. but i've never seen aftermarket lamps like the ones they have on clearcorners... those s14a led taillights  old_s13: make one for the zenki already! T_T

Speaking of timing, I've had a few people ask (ahem kevin) what I've been brewing over here since I've been silent for the past few weeks, well here are some pics of the new goodies that are going on my car.

here's a pic of the new dual LED front turn signals:
http://clearcorners.com/products/nissan/240sx1/F_sig2/

They are available in clear OR smoked (gunmetal color), no difference in light output.. they both kick ass, just depends on what color your car is what look you are going for.

here's a pic of the new dual LED front side-markers:
http://clearcorners.com/products/nissan/240sx1/F_smark/

The sidemarkers are also available in clear OR smoked finish, so they blend in and work with the front turn signals really well.

Now all I need to do is create a parking lamp and signal circuit on my car, re-wiring an S13 is no easy task!

Next step, tail light madness.. get ready for triple LED, it will be REALLY nice.. take my word for it.

Will there ever be a groupbuy on the clearcorners??;)

When you have the parking lights on they light up white and when you signal the amber blinks on and off in addition to the white light right? To the clears turn off when you turn on the headlamps?(I've never actually been in front of my car with the lights on, guess I could check:p )

To answer some of the questions, no.. no group buys. Group buys take a lot of work to organize and I would prefer working with customers on a one-on-one basis. Plus, each car is different and some want little changes dont to their lights to make them unique -- so group buys have never been of interest.

As for the signals and sidemarkers, they light up white with the parking lamps -- they light up amber with the signals or hazards (both the signals AND side-markers have signal capabilities).

Just curious, what is the MCD and viewing angle of the white LED's you use in the front signals?
