Hi I'm new to drifting just got a s13 bone stock and was wondering about the suspension I should start off with....with stiffer lowering springs work for a beginner on a budget?

No one is going to spoon feed you when this is a topic that has been covered exhaustively.

Cut your springs. Find a VLSD, weld it. Harden your old bushings for more stiffness. Don't forget to swap your rotors for drum brakes.
You're welcome.

Always remember, when drifting, hand brakeing is the easiest

lol. Before you go spending money (or time) on parts, learn to drift. Parts will just make your job easier. It won't make you any better tho.

Agreed^ I was sliding around in my coupe with stock suspension and a open diff, get decent with that, save up for some coilovers. The difference will be night and day and you will appreciate them more
Search, read, learn. And then repeat multiple times. You're going to get flamed asking things like this

Tokyo drift was the shit. I wish there was more movies like that.
I have lowering springs they okay to start off. Weld your diff. But I suggest to try n slide with stock diff first so you can feel the difference. Also get a drift button, it's so your e brake doesn't lock. And final clutch kick that biitch, do not counter steer. Just let it fly, you'll see what I mean. Be safe be smart

just go out there and try to slide. try first gear first basically "donuts". leave it in first and drive in a tight circle as you pick up speed throttle it more, the rear will kick out. after that just try to control the slide and keep it going without spinning, im sure you've seen drift videos so you know what im talking about. After you get confident doing that, grab 2 cones and try do the same thing while doing a figure 8. itll take some practice but before you know it you'll get it down. if theres events local to you then definitely go to those.
