well Marita, I have to say you have good taste . I saw one of those at the L.A. Internation auto show two weeks ago . By the way you know Grant ? He is a bud . I sold him his 5 speed and clutch setup . Also you would look way fine in that car Marita. take care

Can't go wrong with a WRX engine/drivetrain and 1000 or more pounds less weight.

the elise does 0-60 in about 4.8 sec and the 1/4 mile in the low 13's. not bad for 120hp. its super light too. under 2000lbs. you can make it go faster just by going on a diet. very nice car although i wouldnt exactly call it air conditiond. more like a fan with a reeaaally small compressor. air conditioning is a must in florida. but the car i really want is the 987hp (stock) bugatti 16/4 veyron with 16 cylinders at 8.0L and (count em) 4 turbos
dats some crazy ish right there. top speed is estimated at 252mph. thats f1 car territory. and its yours for only 750g's. not a bad deal considering its faster than a mclaren f1 which costs 1,142,130.

Lotus Elise with an engine swap like a vtec or a sr20 with a buncha mods could push the power to weight ratio OVER that of a mclaren f1.

Nah... I'd much rather have an R34 GTR. Or at least a 240 with an RB series in it....

with the price of the lotus and having the category of exotic...i would still buy it...my ex bf had the elise TT before they made it into a V8...#### i miss that car...

man, that car is SMAALLLLL. I got a chance to see it at the LA auto show for the first time outside of magazines and Gran Turismo 3. man, but sure does seem fun to drive. what's the specs on the performance side? can it handle 1.0g on the skidpad? it must have a dang good power/weight ratio. hm... I wonder if I could flip it over

Could you imagine being in one of those things and getting hit by an excursion or a semi. ouch. But, it would be fun to go driving up some mountain passes in the Elise.

pretty sure F1 cars have 800hp, and except for places like Spa, they aren't geared for high speed, who knows what they're actualy terminal velocity is
