Do 6x9's fit in the doors of a '91 SE?  Not without some modfications.  But, will they?  Yes.

What am I saying here?  I'm saying if they won't fit but you think they'll sound great - then make 'em fit.  That's more fun sometimes anyway. =)

(ps : If that installs section ever appears, hinthint, I'll post a bunch of pics of the stereo I put in my coupe)

I don't have a 240 or I would try and help.  I just recently replaced the speakers on my door and in my trunk/rear area in my Sentra.  the only way I found out the size, was to tear them out and the size is on the back of the speakers magnent.  but if you don't wanna go and rip off your door panels (bitch to do sometimes) and find out, I'd take the info someone with a 240 gives ya!

You could also go to www.crutchfield.com and click "What fits my car?", I suppose.  =)

Ack, we just had a thread involving this same speaker set. They don't fit without modification. I'm running 462.3cfs in the rear of my hatch, and they sound #### fine, but they aren't a simple screw in setup. You'll need to run some new holes through the speakers, or find another way to mount them. Up front, you have absolutely no chance of getting them to fit. The magnet is too wide and off center. Basically, you'd need to make entirely new baffles for the front. Putting up that effort you may as well get some bigger speakers. If you want an easy installation, go with a standard 4x6 speaker up front (Alpine, Pioneer, and I'm sure the Infinity Reference 4x6), and a different plate in the back.

Like I said, the 462.3 is a pretty good speaker, but it wasn't designed with the 240sx in mind.

It's pretty easy to do if you have some basic wood-cutting tools. But the 4x6's will drop right in.
