this does sound like it could be pretty cool. however, i think they will make it lame with the addition of all kinds of crap. blasting hip hop and lame announcers and probably a lot of shady people will be there too. oh well, we'll see what happens.

q:mix the gheyness of HIN (at least here in atlanta it was ghey) with something fun like pro drifter exhibitions and what do you get?

a: an overly priced car show with more ricers that say they're selling their riced out hondas/neons/cavaliers to buy a 240 with an s15 conversion and an almighty SR20 because they saw drifter X do a cool "skid" (heard this about 15 times at nopi nationals while drifter X and XL were doing their exhibitions)

i guess it could be cool, but it's become almost a rule that any show that has "lifestyle events" thrown in are nothing but 15 DJ's in a small area blaring their own favorite hip hop song over and over and over until you can't stand the noise anymore. i can't see having a drift event with neons and flashing lights everywhere and crappy musing playing. but they probably won't have one out here in the far East anyway, so i guess i have nothing to worry about:)

I think this event would suck donkey dick. Lifestyle? What, like 2F2F shit? Not everyone that enjoys watching/participating in drifting is into the same 'lifestyle'. As a matter of fact, I don't even talk to people at car shows anymore(that is, if I go)... they are usually retards. I can see it now... maybe 25 actual skilled drivers with good knowledge, and 500 teeny bopper gangsta wannabe idiots in the car show posing.

this is all IMO of course... i may be wrong

ummm that wasnt the signal twins at NOPI this year... it was Team Orange. The black S14 lives in ATL and was driving with a blown motor.

Well, I'll say that it's cool that some "Official," and I use that term loosely, drifting is coming out here but I can't say that I'm all that excited by something coming from the people who bring us HONDA Import Nights...Then again, I'll try not to form an opinion until I see it, or hear otherwise.
