im simplifying the bov set up soon, im switching to the pbm kit and putting the bov on the hot side so its close to intake.

exterior im leaning toward either the kouki 180 or s13.5.....my towards kouki thou

wheels...i have a set of z32 stocks waiting to go on for now so i can do the 5 lug next month....but as for actuall wheels i want im going with Enkei NTO3+Ms

Just curios, why the CA18? Money issue?

nah no money issue at all....i was orginally going sr but i got dam sick and tired of ppl always askin if i had an sr.
i liked the idea of being differant....and the ca is highly underrated!
stronger block, better intake, higher revving, better oiling then sr20s.
i have a 50/50 balance more so then the other 4 bangers.
and its baby godzilla! lol

You need to get more into detail you just cant put a bunch of pics in a row & expect it to be a build thread

i love ca's, but bro you have to do something about the colors in there... make it all one color, or at least colors that contrast well.

But seriously, mad props on doing a CA swap, I love it just for that. They are impossible to find around me.

I can see a lot of ignorant fanboys seeing it and going "oh man look! its an SR20! yeah it totally is!"

nice swap! i was wondering how you did the wiring. did you do it yourself or did you buy custom harnesses? and did you used the ka24e transmission harness or ca18det?
the reason i ask is because i am also swapping my ka24e for a ca18det. and i have some electrical "issues"

reason i havent is cause i had over 200 pics of the process. i just threw it up to get the thread started. i have the origianl detailed build on another forum but im not gonna cross advertise.

but as i update it will be step by step and more detailed

the reason all the colors are like that is cause i plan on redoing all the the current set up...intercooler and hosing etc etc. plus almost EVERYTHING is getting powdercoated soon to a color theme.

thanks for the tip thou

Thats easy to answer

-im using the ca18 trans harness
-i did the wiring all my self
-the wiring is dam near identical to a redtop sr wiring
there is a diagram on frsports.com that helped alot and
a few other forum found resources...this was my first time
doing anything with wiring and it started up first shot with no issues.

only points of wiring are the connector near the ecu area.
extending the maf
and another 2 connectors near the coolant bottle.

you should just call it like it is, a 240sx front not super JDM 180sx chuki FRONT END!!!. the only difference is you have the turn signals, you dont even have the jdm "bump-style" side markers

Um first off, it was from a 180 clip, im gonna call it wat it is.
Other wise id just state i had 50/50 signals

And there are more differances such as the impact bar and the hood is lighter
Then my stock usdm hood.

Rarely do you see someone recirc it and for that matter do it the right way as you have. diggin the 60 degree angle for the recirc tube on the intake piping. I wanted to recirc from the cold side, but it seems like it just has to travel to far and recently I was told by a tuner that it's best on the hot side. nice work

Thanks man. Ive heard its good on both sides depending on who says it
I like it on the cold but its very inconvienent all the way over there so im moving it to the hot side for cleaner look, but im keeping the angle it enters the intake. Avoid confusing the maf signal

so the power door locks only works with the alarm or if you lock/unlock the driver side manually from the inside of the car, does the passenger side lock/unlock too?

how heavy is that blue motor thingy?

Nice ca dude. I'm a bigger fan of the pignose over chuki though but to each his own. I have my bov recirced from the cold side as well looks so bad wish I would have put it on the hot side like an sr swap I just did, it cleans it up so much. But some guy was like its better on the cold side.

I have it only lock amd unlock with the key fob/alarm.....didnt want to mess with the panel.

The blue motor on the door? A few ounces.

lol thanks i put alot of hard work into that toe!! well i chose ca because its so underrated, its a beast ass lil motor and to me i find it superior to the sr.
granted anything built rite is good but in my personal feelings i perfer the ca.
its got alot of advantages that the sr doesnt have.

damn it all this makes me miss my CA, but get used to the "why did you get a CA," "what kind of motor is that", and "when you gonna swap an SR in there"

lol @ all who asked "why a CA"... specially the "money issues" excuse.

still have a ton of left overs from my CA if you need anything just lmk. I'm local...
