I recently switched my tranny from my 96 s14, I was told that an s13 tranny (ka24de) would fit so i bought one. I then put the driveshaft in and now it is hittin the chassis, anyone had this problem before? Any help will be appreciated.
I will try to post pics tomorrow since it is too dark right now.

whats hitting the chassis? The shaft or the tranny? If its the tranny, you sure you tightened the tranny mount down?

Was this car an auto S14 swapped 5 speed using an S13 tranny? I'm trying to figure out exactly what you've done. Either way, if its the shaft hitting the chassis, did you properly bolt up the center carrier if using a stock driveshaft?

I'm sorry for the crappy description fellas, I've been working a lot of hours. Let me try to make things a little clearer lol. The car is a 1996 (original 5 speed) S14, it wasn't converted. I had to get a new tranny cuz the one in the car was grinding on 2nd. So I bought a tranny from some dude, he had a ka24de S13 and I was told it would work on my S14 if I switched the bellhousing. So my brother and I switched the front (that connects to engine) of the bellhousing and put it in the car. So once we got.that in we put the starter in and then the driveshaft ... however, the driveshaft is hitting the chassis.
I know I said I would get pictures uploaded but I.haven't had the time. However I.will do my best to get pictures uploaded tomorrow.
I really appreciate your help fellas. :D Thnx

P.S.
It is a stock driveshaft. It is not an auto bracket.

I just completed the swap last week, after getting my "s13" transmission into my "s14" I was also touching/rubbing. It was the collar on the "s13" transmission end I added a picture. wiggle it out, then shave off about a 1/2 inch, and use a rubber mallet to re-install it. that should do it.... if that's the same issue. good luck bro!

Chassis = 'the car frame/unibody structure'
are you sure you don't mean the driveshaft is hitting the differential, or transmission collar? (if its the collar, do what he said ^ )
ALSO
There is a difference in size of Driveshafts. ABS vs NON ABS cars. (as well as auto vs manual, there is 4 different driveshafts available at minimum for the 240sx)
ABS cars have a slightly shorter driveshaft then NON ABS cars. So there is a possibility your car is ABS (meaning you have a longer differential) and thus your dirveshaft is hitting the differential because it wont fit.
If you searched I'm sure you could find this info, as well as pictures of NON ABS Diffs vs ABS diffs to show you what you have.
I should be getting paid for this knowledge
