stright pipe, cat, exhaust, muffler

Okay I came up on a apexi n1 exhast cannon but only the muffler and no resonator. If I were to put the apexi and put it straight to the cat, would it be loud? Would it sound all ricey and gay or would it sound mean and good? also should i just take off the cat and just go all straight piping and just have a muffler? I think my cat is bad anyway and my car will not pass smog so minus well yeah? I just dont want to attract a lot of attention from police

if it has a n/a ka in it, it will sound bad no matter what you do unless you go so big it just drones...if you didnt have the cat it would sound even worse...

i have a stock exhaust with the cat deleted, and it just sounds raspy and pops a bunch.

OR, like others have said, just put the damn thing on and see if you like it...if you dont, buy a cheap resonator like a dynomax or cherry bomb and have a shop weld it in for 30 bucks

Then buy a stock looking muffler. Having that muffler is a pullover whether its loud or not. Im not saying you will get cited etc, but it will attract attention from the police, esp on a 240sx..

ya thats the truth! ^^^ im a big fan of the megan racing black series exhausts, they look oem...thats what i will eventually go with for my swap, and they are cheap, dont know if they are stainless though

I prefer the OEM exhaust system. With OEM exhaust and an S15 turbocharger you can put down 290RWHP and surprise people all day long.

if you need more power but wish to retain the OEM exhaust, just install a cutout...
