the key to survival is a way to travel. once the zombies come you would need to be able to travel to a zombie free reservation to repopulate. if you fortify yourself you will eventually starve to death. im sorry but i dont care if you have all the MREs in the world. you will either still die of starvation or constipation.

Toss it in the box of my ram :). I would mostly carry the machete for on foot excursions. The Anzio would be good for clearing out small crowds from a safe distance. A 20mm vulcan round probably won't stop at one zombie. :)

I could be far enough away that Zack's couldn't see any muzzle flash or pin point the location of the sound. And I'd build me a suppressor so I could have an 8' gun!

Except you require, water, food, sleep etc... Zombies don't tire or need sleep. They don't need to drink water to stay hydrated. They don't need to eat meals to stay energetic. They don't quit. Ever.

That's why a medieval suit of armour is a bad choice.

Guns are all fairly useless unless you're taking out the brain. You need something reliably accurate, with common ammunition that you can find readily at either a store, or assuming they're all looted, from other survivors that have either died or left it behind. You guys saying desert eagles and 50 cal snipers, sure that'd be great, but unless you're doing work on the head, you've got a crippled zombie crawling around. Plus, if you're clearing houses and stores for food, you're not going to be able to swing a sniper around a corner. That's why SWAT and assault teams use more compact rifles. Quick, accurate, customizable, easy ammo, and great for medium to long range. Switch to a smaller handgun for the close quarters stuff, or a heavy melee weapon. I go back to my earlier post of.... Fireman's Halligan!! Heavy, could take out a skull with a decent swing, PLUS it can pry open doors in houses or cars, etc...
