digital speedo and hud not working?

Bought my 240sx a month ago and the speedo and hud will turn on then shut off about 5 seconds later iv checked for loose conections or breaks in wires but cant find the problem. any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

capacitor on the digital speedometer is going out.. EXTREMELY typical. will cost about 150 to get fixed at any local small electric repair place.
