just wondering from fello rb enthusist if they have ever had their car up to that. my car rev limits at 8500 rpm its a series 2 rb25 and as far as i know, stock internals. it has a tial bov, stock turbo, fmic, and a nistune chipped type 2 board mated to rb20 ecu. please answer because not sure how safe (or detrimental) this is.

Not good. Don't do this.
I know rb20s can rev to 9k safely

i would be more concerned about the valve train, like a hydraulic lifter fainling!

What oil pump are you runing ?? Crank generation (long or short oil drive) !!! Those are the two most important point to have when over revving a rb !!!

Tomei pump , good crank model , crank poulie (ati/Ross) bleu print engine ready for high rev !!!
Stock form not so good dont go over 7500 / 8000 or if its at 8500 do NOT bounce on the limiter

I read that somewhere LOL.
but I mean I wouldnt go past 8k anyways

Stock turbo I don't think you new to be revving that high anyhow
