I have the SSQV, it doesn't sound like a turkey, and it doesn't really have a woosh sound.
It's more like a chirping sound and honestly, it gets annoying. Seems like with lower boost it comes out as a woosh, but the more boost the shorter and more chirpy it becomes.
I'm just going to switch to recirculation, showing ricers whats up has gotten boring.

which bov makes the best swoosh sound, but still holds boost and such i dont want to sacrifice the performance of it for a sound, but damn i love that sound..........how about apexi?

I don't know what type of sound the Apex'i bov makes, but if your looking not to hurt performance, but retain the swoosh sound I think it would be the right one for you. You can adjust how much air the bov releases into the atmosphere. This will help keep a lot of the air lost on the other bov's in the intake system. And that should keep your car from having the problem of dying that others w/ different bov's have.

the apexi one is more of a "pshhhtttt" sound

The blitz will give the exact sound that your looking for but there is the leaking issue.
If you want a reliable BOV then the HKS is the way to go. I have the HKS SQV (older style) and I have stalled maybe 4 times in the year that I have had it.
The sound is not audible outside over the exhaust but you can hear it in the cabin.
The Greddy type-s is uber loud and can be adjusted to minimize stalling. If sound is what you really want

well i think im getting the hks, but i guess if i dont like it over time, i might get me a different one...but i want to keep the performance of it, anyone got soundclips of there ssqv?
what about the inserts, ive been reading on different forums and they say the gold one is for appearence only and that it doesnt really change the sound but the purple one makes it more of a swoosh sound, i guess if i didnt like the chirp of it i could try it, either way i want the best performer so it looks like this one is my best bet

only the boost will really make a different sounds, and that's mostly just a change in volume.
if you want truly obnoxious then get a TurboXS RFL valve.;)

I've been driving the car with the SR, since Tuesday (with an HKS SSQ BOV) and I could tell from driving it a couple days that I'd eventually recirculate it. I'll miss the sound, but oh well. The idle needs to be adjusted a little, maybe that will help in the meantime.

Is yours atmospheric?
cuz I bought the Type S specifically cuz it was the quietest one I'd heard. Mine set to recirc, and sometimes it's hard to hear inside hte car with the windows down
