Hey guys just wondering if any of you have tried to do donuts, it snowed the other day and i was out doing them they were decent not the greatest i've ever seen, me and my friend who has a v6 firebird were having a little contest. Both of our cars did them ok in the snow then today it rained a little and the ground was a little damp and i tore it up, i could have kept going and going but i didn't want to ruin my tires more than they already are. Just a topic to talk about anyone??

I do hope my boyfriend doesn't read this, but the other day I did a donut, somewhat accidentally in his car. I was turning left and got on this patch of ice, and I accelerated purposely, hoping it would carry me to the side some (I like the feeling) and it ended up turning the car 90 degrees, and I didn't really want to get out of it, so I turned the wheel and stepped on the gas some more, so it spun the remaining 270 degrees, I straightened the wheel and went where I was supposed to go. It was pretty cool.

I like donuts. Beware of small town cops with nothing to do, but every first snow in Flag, I head out to the parking lots and spin around. Oh yeah, when the roads are nice and snowy/icy, you can practice doing controlled 360's. It's pretty easy, and about the only time I can do them since the truck is so front heavy.

I love doing donuts, last storm we just had, i went out and was pivoting on my drivers seat. I got nice and dizzy. My other friend has a 300zx, and does em just as easily. you can also get a chance to practice drifting and stuff, at least i do.

An interesting drive to work, huh? Your boyfriend should be so proud! <tear in eye>

:)

I used to do donuts. Now I cannot because I dont have power steering and its too much of a workout. Its fucking TOUGH!

Of all the times I miss RWD, it's when trying to do donuts that I miss it the most. I have found that starting your approach in reverse works rather well. And, I've also learned that to do a more traditional (front-wards) donut, the e-brake is quite useful.

But, ahh, RWD donuts. It's actually weird just how stable FWD can be. But, driving home from Hartford in the snow last weekend, well, I suppose it's for the best.

Love donuts especially the powdered ones with jelly ummmmm.........Oh yeah those donuts, I do them all the time here when it snows. great practice to controll your car. probably the only time I can actually drift is in the snow but of course sinceI don't do the work to break the tail loose I don't consider that real drifting. Still fun though. I do beat up my 300zx doing donuts on the dry pavement though. woohoo1

yeah, well after finding no one in town one night, my best friend and i went to an "un-seeable" parking lot. after letting him drive it... because i wouldn't let him drive the 240 on the road... i got back in the drivers seat and began to do doughnuts. well after 2 times of practice, it was time for a finally... slammed the gas down, jerked the wheel to the right... within 3 times the far was going around, i couldn't see a thing because of the tire smoke. keeping it going... i got on two wheels...
i about pissed my pants. lucky i didn't break, or jerk the wheel at all. yeah. my friend was scared shitless as so was i. i haven't went out with a bang since.

Aside from doghnuts.....I personally like it when its nice and icy right in front of the driveway, a little e-braking and a flick of the wrist on the wheel, and low and behold your facing your driveway without having to turn the wheel. I know......Americans are lazy......hahaaaa
