How many people are interested in FLT-A1's? If we can get that deal, I'm in. Right now, I have pretty much, an order for them already put together. But, of course, this is a better deal.
I've done my fair share of research on these coilovers. On the S13, they have the rubber mounts all the way around. However, you can buy front and rear metal mounts for them from JIC; as well as helper springs and what not. JIC has a very extensive list of parts to add on to their existing pieces. If I get my FLTa1's outside of this GB, I'll post pics of them. I'm also getting JIC catback and downpipe. :boink:

The major diff. is the damper design. The A1 uses a dual tube design were as the A2 has a inverted Mono tube. The mono's are stonger on the side loads that front struts face.

The rubber mounts on the A1's would make them ideal for street use. I doubt you could make the dual tubes foam under normal street use. You can't beat $905.99 for them.

Here is JIC Magic's Warranty policy right off their application guide/price sheet:

Warranty: Most parts are warranted by the manufacturer, usually for NINETY days from the date of purchase. All warranties are included with your order when parts are properly installed nad used under normal conditions. Parts used for racing or competition are warranted against manufacturers' defects only. They are not warranted for wear of breakage under any other circumstances.

Going to need 4-5 more people to do the free shipping deal. I'm going to have to check with JIC Magic to see if they even have 10 sets in stock still, apparently other people are doing group buys as well.

I wish I could go $10.00 cheaper to be lower than other people, but we have a lot of overhead to cover over here at our shop and unfortunately we can't make $10.00 off an item and survive :)

however, the customer service provided by JIC USA is horrible. JIC Japan, on the other hand, is wonderful. like what i think Siizzzoooo meant to say, if its a good product, then good customer service wont be required... however should something go wrong due to manufacturer's defect, i would like the peace of mind that the manufacturer will support their products to their customers...

its stores of what i read reguarding JIC USA that scare me. like what Siizzzooo already posted as well, if something goes wrong, JIC USA wont help...

Yes everywhere is a 6-8 week back order. JIC MAGIC USA themselves do not have any FLT-A1's in stock for either S13 or S14. A bulk order can be placed and it'll be on the next container.

For those that are signing up for both group buys, please don't for the sake of us and the other shop. It's getting awfully confusing between the two, and if need be I will drop the FLT-A1's from a potential group buy since the other shop is offering it as well, and at a lower price.

I can start taking orders on these FLT-A1's, but I contacted JIC and they said they don't keep many FLT-A1's in stock due to the fact that they try to sell the FLT-A2's (basically forcing the distributors to try to upsell to A2's) - but if you are willing to wait, I can place the order. I just can't assure that we can do free shipping on them unless I get 10 sets.

Either way though, shipping isn't too expensive for the FLT-A1's if you guys want them :)

Well if we hit 10, shipping should be free.

If you wanted to order outside the group buy it would become rather expensive, because we have to pay inbound shipping from California to ship the suspension back out to you in California - and the worse thing is we're all the way in Florida.

Let me know if you are still interested, I am trying my best to give everyone the best price possible, but sometimes it is hard to compete with those that are willing to make less because they have to pay less in bills :)

Not that this thread needs another bump, just adding a little note for those of you who are newbies (i see a lot on this thread) or have not dealt with Enjuku. They are simply THE guys for parts. They are pretty much my sole supplier, everything i've bought for my car came from them with the exception of about 2 items, and one of those i wish i had bought from them :( Anyway, they're great to deal with, great service, stuff ships as soon as they can get it out with tracking numbers....just got my S14 rear strut bar from this GB, very impressed with it (I think i'm one of the few people that has one of the JIC R-STB's for a S14), wish i could afford to get in on the coilovers :( Anyway, just offering a good reference for anyone who hasn't gotten the chance to deal with these guys. My new wheels are going to be arriving soon and I'd rather have a set ready so I can put them on at the same time. If not I suppose I'll have to wait. I want coilovers but there's no way that I'm wasting my money on any of the other similarly priced coilovers... Tein SS and the Tanabe SS series = gahbage :mad:

Here is JIC Magic's Warranty policy right off their application guide/price sheet:

Warranty: Most parts are warranted by the manufacturer, usually for NINETY days from the date of purchase. All warranties are included with your order when parts are properly installed nad used under normal conditions. Parts used for racing or competition are warranted against manufacturers' defects only. They are not warranted for wear of breakage under any other circumstances.


What JIC fails to mention that the FLT-A2 is considered to be an "off road" suspension kit and if it fails after you put it on your car for WHATEVER REASON they will not replace it.

In other words, parts are sold "as is" without any warranty since it is for "racing".

There is some confusion...

Bri96se isn't talking about the FLT-A1s, he is talking about tie rods, which also happen to be backordered. Apparently there is a container that is coming in soon, and unless there are tie rods in that container, he will have to wait 6-8 weeks for the next container, just like we will have to wait for the FLT-A1s, because the possibility of there being any FLT-A1s on this soon-arriving container is slim to none.

So yeah, from what it looks like there are some (a bunch?) parts on backorder. If the parts people want aren't on the soon-arriving container, they're going to have to wait 6-8 like the rest of us because the JIC's distributers back in Japan are at home :jerkit: right now...

Oh how I wish that was the case!

Once you install a part that is designated for "off road use only" if anything happens beyond that initial installation YOU are responsible for anything that happens. The only way JIC can be held responsible is if YOU prove that THEIR part is defective.

This way, their ass is covered and you have to do all the hard work to prove your case if in fact something fails.

Trust me, this is something I do everyday.

Yeah Alex explained it better than I did. Even defects aren't covered once the part goes on...

If there is a defect, unless you notice it before you put the part on you're out of luck, because it's going to be impossible to prove to JIC that it broke because of a defect, especially when you're using the part outside of the specified parameters (example: driving around on the street with your "race-only" coilovers).

Some manufacturers have warranty that covers defects in the product for normal street use, but have clauses stating that racing/competition voids the warranty. HKS USA is one example.

To be honest it's all about the support the manufacturer provides; even if it was "race only" some sort of support should be provided to the end-user and as far as that is concerned so far only Tein USA has done an acceptable job of catering to their customers.

Just make sure you guys know what you are getting into before you buy, that's all I have to say.

Guys I just had another conversation with JIC Magic USA -

Unfortunately (even though I am planning to do over a $9000 dollar order) they will not do free freight for the shipment. So now it is nearly impossible for me to offer free shipping, regardless of the amount of orders I can get. I really apologize for this, but as with the other group buy, there is a lot more frustration involved with the 6-8 week wait, JIC Magic USA not stocking these items, etc.

I don't know if that's even possible, but I like the idea. I'm just looking for some reasonably-priced coilovers (like 1000-1200) with an adjustable lower bracket that I won't have to wait forever for them to get to my house. JIC Magic changed their list pricing on the FLT A-1's to $1150.00 without even informing their distributors so there is no way I am going to be able to do those for $905.99 anymore. Not sure what they are thinking, but look towards my Tanabe post if you want some high quality drift parts. I will work on coilover pricing soon. I apologize for all the inconvenience!
