Hey guys,
im having a very awkward issue with my HIDs. i recent bought a set of H4 6k HIDs from Eurotek HID systems.Single beam. tried with car on and off.

Pics are pulled from Google and i just edited them for reference.

Here is my issue, look at pic for reference.

Ok athe OEM headlight plug(pic below) there is 12.3V when head lights are on.

after that i used my multimeter to check voltage from the OEM plug to the connection to the Ballast. so there is 12V all the way to the ballast. Yet no Light is emitted. Pic shows my results when using my multimeter..

I tried using the driver HID set on the passenger side, and it works... the only thing that seems to be the problem is the wire from the OEM plug to the ballast. I check both with my multimeter using OHMS... both connectors read 0.0 ohms. so there is continuity... yet im still scratching my head on why my passenger side HID doesn't work.

I took my HID set to the store i bought them from, and the guy hooked them up and WORKED!!! both!!! so im stumped on this....

helps guys:bash:

i hardwired mines to my headlight harness so that i only had the bulb connection to ballast to deal with. that's weird that the shop got it to work

My thoughts exactly. You need to reverse the power and ground. That should fix your issue.

Sounds like something in the wire job is backwards.

just flip the connector on the ballast. it goes in either way.

As said, polarized, flip the connector.
But why would you not use a relay setup?
F&#k what people say about not needing one.
It would have eliminated this situation, and will eliminate any future electrical problems in your setup.

Will it work without it?
Yes.
Could you have problems without it?
Yes.
So why not run a harness.
