Ok so I want to upgrade my suspension mainly for drifting and some AutoX and I've got about $700 to blow. I know for that I can get Eibach Sportlines, KYB Shocks + Eibachs alignment kit. My question is how much better are coilovers and do I really need them? Right now I'm pretty much a novice/amatuer drifter.

Also is the Eibach alignment kit worth it or will I need camber plates?

umm i dont think it should affect it that much, but the camber kit is about 30 bucks so go for it.

Here's my advice. Dont buy eibach springs. They are a little too soft. Get either the RSR race springs, or some ground controls.

here is a link to the rsr springs.

here's some more free advice. Dont buy those stupid camber bolts. But camber plates. Let me explain it very simply..even if they didnt have camber adjustments on them, they would be worth the money just to replace your rubber shock mounts. They make the front end ride twice as good.

since ur starting to learn how to drift and all that setup should be fine with the rsr springs. personally i would just save up more and get a coilover setup like the jic's or zeal. because they have more adjustabililty so u can use them for the street or track.

Tein S tech's and KYB AGX will probably suit you well if you don't plan on going to the track often. They suit me because I'm more of a spirited driver than a track person. Still haven't tried the setup on the track but it would probably hold its own very well. The ride isn't too bad either.

Yeh those RSR's look pretty sweet. I think I'd rather go with shocks and springs and then down the road get those Apex N1 coilovers.

The Tein Street Spec's look cool but the JIC don't seem to be height adjustable and the Zeals are more expensive

Buy some ground controls and AGXs if you never plan on buying coils.
