Rb26= 280ish hp stock.
Vq35= 280ish hp stock.
If you took the money you would spend dropping a 26 into a z, and simply used that money on mods for the vq instead, you would end up with more power and more torque out of a higher displacement and more modern motor. You would spend significantly less time, have less headaches, and have much more functionality with the z if you kept the vq.... I literally can not see any advantage to rb26 swapping a 350z.
LOLOLZ O WATE, NVM! THE BR26 SEZ GTR ON 1T!!!! I guess that automatically makes it better for the car dispite all the logical bullshit I just mentioned....

Closer to 300 but who's really counting. If everyone did what was logical and easy nothing would be 'unique' now would it.
I put an RB20 into my s13 coupe. Am I a fucking retard because I didn't just buy a SR20 or oh hai!!!11 even better LS1. I mean thats like the end game right? Awesome HP/Tq ratio
Boom headshot
I'll never understand how people can care so much about what someone else does with their own god damn shit.:mrmeph:

I mean.... yes.... But that's an entirely different situation. We're talking about removing a 280hp motor, going through lots of work, time, headaches, and thousands of dollars... in order to end up with a 280hp motor...

In my opinion there is a much bigger aftermarket for the rb! Sure there are plenty for the vq. But considering turbo kits, or even a blower run 3G's plus, w added tunning and all so on.... A simple turbo upgrade, injectors and rom tune make ple Ty of power, the tq is always there a d plus it's anoverall beefier motor. Sure there's a displacement difference, but it's not v8 territory where that plays a huge roll. U could put 5 grand into a vq, and 5 gra d to build a rb30 and rb>vq all day.

its easier to build power out of boost than build power na unless of course you swap v8 and even then its very costly. if you went dollar for dollar in an rb and in a vq the rb will dominate hands down.

Id like to see a built vq make 500hp for longer than a stock rb26 at 500hp. But as far as weight, The RB is going to weigh more. Isnt the vq aluminum?
