So since the tech thread is down i just need some input. My s13 is eating tires, the camber is at max adjustment and is still too slanted, its wearing out the inner tire tread extremely fast
I Was told by the guys who did my alignment thats its adjusted to the max.
So is it correct that if i upgrade my rucas i should able to straighten up the tires so they dont wear out as fast.
And i found a cheap pair of Circuit Sports brand, are they sufficient to adj farther then the factory rucas.?
Thank you

You might need to adjust toe too

Yes with Rucas you should be able to adjust your alignment properly, but don"t forget to also change you Toe Rods at the same time because it will

What ^^ those guys said. Camber should cause your tires to wear irregularly but not excessively, its a combination of toe and camber that does that. You won't fix your tire wear until you sort both of those out.
EDIT: I do my alignments on my own but honestly its a PITA and if I had the option to fork over 80 bucks to have it done I would much rather do that. I also have a camber and toe gauge at my disposal, and a perfectly flat surface. If you are missing any one of those components you'll never get it right.

would worn out bushings in my subframe cause any issues on tire wear? i know it clunks a little when i drop the clutch. and i can feel it torque slightly.

Depends how worn, but most likely. My bushings are toast and my subframe "walks" giving a "slithering" feeling when make turns quickly.
You got a toe out issue broski.
And it's probably your u-joint or something in your final drive assembly that's making that clunk.
I don't think your bushing would do that, they'd just make your car drive like shit if anything.
Where in Arizona are you? Just curious.

i live in surprise mang, are u local?
i just realized how bad these are out of adjustment, because my tires are less then one year old and the steel belt is showing on the inside. I dont even track my car!! ive had my front tires on the car longer then the rear and they have more tread, its terrible.

if you have a stock setup, ie not lowered
stock arms should bring everything into spec
any competent alignment shop can do this
and, as been mentioned, it is toe that is killing your tires

cheaping out only leads to doing things over
do it right, do it once
and maintenance before upgrades
advice to live by
check/replace your bushings are necessary before doing modifications

it depends on how low your car is and what brand you are going to go with. some RUCA designs cant fully straighten out the rear wheels. I know the PBM RUCA's go plenty far enough to straighten them out because i own them now, but they are $270 shipped. well worth it, but depends on your cash flow.
I used these on my car for 3 years without any problems and i know they will go far enough to straighten out your wheels

BUT...as stated previously, your problem is 99% toe

Yeah more often than anything, misaligned toe setting will eat through tires more so than camber.. Btw this may sound like a shameless plug, but I have a brand new set of Megan Racing S13 RUCA's with original box and packaging for sale for $120 free shipping in the US. If you're interested please PM my ass ;)
what the others said about the toe. also don't forget if you try to get it aligned on worn tires, it won't align properly either
