Hey guys, I have a hayden fan controller for my electric fans. Previous owner just had them tapping power from the fuel-pump fuse, so I have this kit now. My problem is that the in-line fuse keeps blowing. I have everything wired correctly though. The fans work, but after a while, the fuse will just blow. The wires just get too hot. I'm wondering if the controller isn't beefy enough for FAL fans? The setup used to work fine for a while, then about a month or two later, the fuse just blew.

Sounds like youre drawing way too much amperage. It could be that your wires are undersized for the load capacity flowing through them. Increase your wire size and get the correct fuse rated for the fans. Is there any information regarding fuse size/wire size?

yeah, each fan should have its own dedicated 15 AMP (i'm speaking generally here, it depends on the manu-specs, so could be more or less) fuse run inline with it. I would also recommend drawing power straight from the battery for this, and maybe even have a relay setup installed inline to the fuel pump as a trigger instead of drawing power from the pump.
