I have a 1991 Fastback LE, 5 speed with good rubber. My friend has a Saturn SC2 of some kind, auto, also with good rubber. Both stock. I can't drive for shit though.
He got the Saturn to "replace" his S14 for the winter. Since my S13 is so similar to the Saturn (maybe 1994-96?), he wants us to see at the local 1/8 or 1/4 mile track. Just for fun.
I've never raced anyhting but autocross though. The cars look similar on paper, but I have a very small advantage on HP/Weight. Similar drag coeffs, same tires.....
Who has the best shot? Sykikchimp, did "god let you beat the sc2?" :)

Well, I can drive, revmatch, double clutch, and I'm learning heel-toe, etc. But in autox, I nomrally don't launch it.
I'll just rev to like 2k, feather the clutch just a bit, and shift at 6k. Maybe that's not optimal, but it should be pretty quick.

Its ok if you can't launch as long as your friend can't launch either.

true but SC2 is a weak car from my expereince, very weak,S13 should OWN it for real, just practice that launch a couple times before you hit the track, should be a peice of cake if you can launch it good and shift worth a crap
