I need your help guys . I have searched and searched and no definite answer to my problem.
I have a s14 that I recently swapped the steering wheel with the works bell and air bag delete with it. I wired the horn accordantly and working fine a few days ago I pressed the horn and it was dead.
I then took everything apart and all connections are correct and nothing loose.
1) using the key fob I press the panic button and the horn goes off. (oem alarm)
2) I jumpered a wire from the horn wire ( single wire green) and the horn goes off when I ground it.
3) using a multimeter the horn wire from the steering wheel is DEAD!!! No power
4) checked the fuse for the horn and it is fine (under the hood).
I am lost and don't want to run separate wires for the horn :hey:
my question is are there more horn fuses somewhere?
Are there more relays other than the one under the hood in the fuse box?
If the relay was bad wouldn't it not make the panic button for the horn not work?
Plz guys I would appreciate it if you can help me out with anything I'm at a loss.

These two don't make sense to me. How would it work when you ground it but not when you test it? I'm thinking you're doing something wrong, and your horn button could be bad.

There's also a tech section to post stuff like this. It makes it easier to search when people actually post things in the right section and not just where most people hang out.

Well I apologize for posting in the wrong section. But either way I figured it out and I was doing everything right. Thanks anyway though.

So what was it?

It was the clock spring. Because when I tested it while it's plugged no power to any of the wires. But when it was unplugged I tested the yellow plug that attaches to the clock spring and there is power from it. Hope I didn't confuse u with how I wrote that.
I guess I broke the clock spring when I set it in and didn't set it right and when I turned the wheel I ripped it from the inside...

LOL, breaking it isn't exactly my definition of "doing everything right"

I would love that especially for those :hey: on the road but I have to pass inspection to register the car.
