Nobody cares, some likes slam the living crap out of the shifter from gear to gear, some prefer short shifters to just flick it gear to gear. I'm not a fan of them cuz I've always been the short throw, short shifter kinda guy.

This, I've seen many of them break after only a short time of use, plus there is a reason people put short throw shifters on their cars, why would you want to increase the length of time to change gears? Plus they look like they came off an old chandelier:down:

i had a 6inch one on my s14 and it was very comfortable to shift with just alil bulky, im running the stock and thats about 3inchs and its pretty decent but i would like to upgrade to a more flashy and weighted knob when i get a new steering wheel

I like a variety of shift knobs. I currently have a stock one. it's ok. Bubble or beer tap is next because i think those are cool. Has nothing to do with performance really. Artsy autoculture type stuff.....

whoever owned my car before me installed a short shift kit, and i hated it.. it felt sh*tty trying to get it into first, and it just wasnt nice and smooth shifting..

once i installed my dildo knob, all those problems went away..

plus, i always get strange looks from people, then i get to say "all the girls LOVE my knob" - it gets a laugh 1/10 times..

The bubble knob with a b&m short shifter for the s13 has a great feel. Good leverage and shifting comfort. They tend not to heat up on hot days, or freeze up on cold days. Had one for a year before i sold my car. It never broke. I recommend it.

this. kinda. idk if u guys havent noticed, but the guys in formula d (that ive seen) use extended shifters. and if not, then atleast regular sized. ive NEVER seen a pro using a short shifter. thats stupid as hell for drifting.
it may take less time to go from gear to gear with a short shifter, but it takes longer to go from steering wheel, to shifter, and back.

i personally used to think they were stupid. but i grew to like them somehow. and i used to get compliments ALL THE TIME on my shifter when i was in my old car. people think its cool as fuck. and if they dont think that, they atleast think its funny. ive yet to have one person come up to me in person and tell me its stupid. like i said, id get compliments all the time from random ass strangers i didnt even know.
