Whats up? I'm new and i just bought a 1990 240 se for $1900. It's red and in great condition. I've always liked the way the look and i saw one for sale and i had to buy it. I'm not exactly sure on the specs, but if i read the one site right , ive got the ka24e with 140hp and 152 tq, right? Whats the difference between the ka24e and the ka24de, does it have to do with the cams?

Yeah it has two of them instead of one. Good luck. try and use the search button before you post a question and look through past pages and the FAQ are is full of good info. Good choice on your new car hopefully it will serve you well, take care of the little sucker. Did you get a trunk or a hatchback? how many miles? Manual or auto? If you E-bay'd make sure you get that shit and don't let anyone scam you. Make sure the care is the way the seller said it is. Be cautious. But I guess you already commited yourself. Happy driving, and be careful. you are in control of a rear wheeled car.:D auto

Other than that Welcome man! Yeah the diff's between the E (89-90 models) and DE (91+) is that the DE has two sets of cams aka DOHC. As far was stock HP goes the DE only has like 15 more HP but the same amount of torque iirc.

I looked it up and i dont think that they have the same amount of tq. It says that the ka24e has 140hp with 152tq and the the ka24de has 155 hp with 162 tq. If im not mistaken that is.

I got these numbers from www.socal240sx.com. I believe they scanned the Nissan brochure specs.
