i was at evolution motorsports today just browsin the new shop and they said there friend just dropped an sr in his purple 240....i asked what year...they said , (hold back the laugh it shows there knowledge of nissan) "oh the one without the little flippy lights" i said yeah an s14
he knodded with confusion

my question is

hah nah, my car is the factory burgundy color...its not really purple, but its a purplish red...reason i think its me is cuz i'm the only one who goes to the shop often with an sr, and i'm definately the only one whos friends with them with an sr...its looks purplish tho...dont worry, ur idea's safe...

I think I know who you are talking about he has a purple s13 hatch with Gianormous Aluminum wing. He wanted to race me once about a year ago....

I don't know that he has an sr. He didn't last time I saw his car. He and a friend of mine worked together. I will ask my friend to get the skinny....

Cody said s14 to see if the dood would know his stuff or not. There is a kid that has a car that matches the discription same after market paint job that that hangs out at that shop. Then again when I talked to the guy that runs Evolution in tower while back (like 10 months) he told me the same thing about someone swapping in the &quot;JDM&quot; motor. I think he might just be talking out his ass.

i was in the chantilly/reston area for a month this past summer. i just remember seeing a white s14 w/ a body kit n rims. i did see stock ones, but i wouldn't know if they had sr's in them or not.

Yeah that car belongs to Long. His has a stock KA in it. There was a white turbo KA a few years back but he blew his motor and I bought most of his good parts. There is also Derrick Greaser in southern VA that has a red top in his 95.

guess u 2 would know if it is cuz i've never met/seen the guy. ya'll got way 2 many personalized license plates up there. maybe that's why i didn't notice 2 many 240's, even though there was a whole lot more than here, which is a good thing cuz it's not like they were just crazy everywhere.

Hum well if you have had good experiences then I would trust that over what I had heard. I know a few people that know the guys that run the Falls Church store and they have given me the feeling that they are a bit shady. I got the same feeling from talking to them. But again it was just my impression.

You are probably the guy that the guy in chantilly was talking to Cody about. But I wouldn't worry about it.

hehe yeah, especially when u buy a car with an inspection sticker that expires in august - exactly the month im going down to florida. &nbsp;jesus christ, its heaven...no emissions, cuban food, warm weather...and no emissions...im a lucky son of a bitch for pickin up one with an august sticker...

uu, bout the swap, all thats left is wiring...me and hippo are gonna be working on it saturday if you wanna come by...i'm out of town sun-tues., so hopefully we'll finish it then.

actually, i dont think evo has a falls church store...are u sure ur not thinking of vertex? &nbsp;evo used to be in annandale, and moved to chantilly from there.

Yeah it was the annandale store. I can never figure out one city stops and the other begins. Any way I talked to the owner one night in Tower Records in FairOaks. As far as Vertex goes they are in Tysons Corner they use to be in Fairfax. Steve the owner was the guy that sold me a bunch of the stuff off his turbo KA. He is a bit iffy as well.

I test fitted every thing this week. Spent last night Heat wraping the Mani. The only big stuff left to do is tap the pan. After that it is just little fit and finish, odds and ends to take care of.

evo has been great to me...yeah, new shop's a helluva lot better...actually, u should see it around, im there fairly often...i'd say once a week, sometimes more, sometimes less....yeah, im ususally one of those 37 guys standing around in the garage.

as far as the meet, which are u talkin about? &nbsp;the february one, the track day, or one i dont know about?
