Hi all,
so I just bought a 1998 240SX LE yesterday, and today I registered for this forum, which I been watching for about a week.
My 240 is black with tan leather interior otherwise everything is stock to the LE
Nice to have other fellow 240sx owners to chat with.
So my first question is
given a chance to do it all over again
what would be your first MOD ?

intake or exhaust probably but think about an ecu even tho u might wanna have it re-programmed for an exhaust or intake later...... it might be just what ur looking for and not wanna do any thing else

First mod? Good Tires, or new suspention. Or even just a set of swaybars.

Mine already had springs, so I did new tires and then intake. I will probably do new shocks in the coming months. Thinking of some Koni adjustables.

Thanks for the input folks.
I shall post links to some pictures as soon as I get home from work.
Hey, welcome to zilvia.net! Sounds like a really nice car.
First mod, I would go with either a short shifter or sway bars.

Hey! Welcome to the forum! I could tell you that's a great car, but you already know that.
Did you get a five-speed? If I recall correctly, LEs weren't available with manual transmission.
First mod: I'd say get some rubber if your tires aren't too good, or get an intake or exhaust. Or both. <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'> How much money are you spending?
LE's did come in 5-speed.

welcome to the forum. My suggestion would be go for suspension first, springs or sway bars.

the tires make all the other stuff work, so if you want save and buy nice ones or get them now so all your other stuff will work as it should right away. Either way you are going to need good tires if you want traction

You can get an LE in 5 speed. They are just usually black. LE 5 speeds were rare... It took me (as I've said before) about a year to find my Silver 5 speed. I got an SE, I wasn't settling for that coupe shit!

I found that out last night too <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>. I went into our dealership's attic and looked at previous years' Nissan books for trim levels and descriptions that help train salesmen, and found that the 5-speed was optional on the LE. Thanks, though <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>.
God, I love working at this place!
