i just finished putting my new intake mani on my sr along with new o-rings for my injectors. i went to turn the car to the on position to turn the fuel pump on to see if my injectors were sealed with the fuel rail and nothing. normally you can hear the fp and my fpr will read the psi but its not doing anything. the motor isnt in the state to actually start it so i didnt do that, i was just trying to see if the injectors sealed. one of the injectors isnt connected to its harness cause im redoing the terminals in the clip since it looked like ass, dunno if that would make a difference though? any ideas would help

Do you have an ECU connected?
Here is how it works.
When you turn on ignition, your ECU will received that ignition signal via pin 36. The ECU will ground the ECCS Relay via pin 4, thought powering the ECU. When the ECU get power to pins 38 and 47, it will ground the fuel pump relay via pin 104, for about 2 sec. This will make your fuel pump prime. Sometimes, you will also need your CAS to be connected.
I hope that it help you understand the fuel pump priming process.
Thank you,
Frank

Yea it's connected, so is the cas. Could a bad ground be the problem? The two ground wires that are on the oem manifold by the injectors are now on the same bolt on the manifold. Could that be it? What are those grounds for?

Did you check the fuel pump relay for power in, and power out?

Find the relay and check to see it has a switched 12v source and then make sure it has power leaving the relay heading to the fp.

You can also just listen to it click when you turn the key into the on position.

So I took the relay out and hardwired it putting a wire in the 2 terminals closest together and the pump came on but obviously didn't shut off like normal. Bad relay?

Bad relay or the coil on the relay isn't being energized (aka something else bad between Key > ECU > Coil).

Check if you have voltage (12V) on one side of the relay, and ground on the other pin of the relay with the ign on. This is on the pin that are the most far away.

Do a continuity test! If you don't know how, read this, it will help you! :)

thanks man and i figured it, and oh how stupid do i feel haha, after testing the continuity of one of the terminals i ripped apart the fuse box to follow the wire and it led me to and unconnected harness:facepalm: i forgot that the same day i put on my manifold i rerouted part of the harness to the top of the passenger fender and forgot to connect it hah. thanks for the help though guys
