is that motor installed, if so use youtube for the way it sounds. motors with cams have a loping idle sound.

+1 on that if your idle is rough and your car is shaking at idle then chances are you have cams youd hear the rpm going up and down and it would be kind of low. or pull the valve cover off and see if you see and markings on them from after market companies.
ya motor is already in but i cant tell from the sound.

if your motor doesn't sound likes it a fucking raging beast ready to kill, you prolly don't have cams!
just because some said something doesn't mean its the truth...
I have Tomei 260 pro's and it doesn't sound much different than stock.:2c:
Most cams have markings in the castings, I'd check that, if you really want to know.

Yeah you can definitely have aftermarket cams and not have a crazy lopey idle. When I first installed my JWT S3s it was really lopey and aggressive. When I got it tuned, it was pretty tame (until you revved it anyways. LoL).
The best way is to crack open the head and look for casting marks as someone else mentioned.
Take the cams out and meassure them (when no marks on the cams).
Idle and stuff completely depends on type of cam and doesnt tell jack.
