Ok so, long story short my gf and i will be in Durham, NC in November. It just so happens that our relationships anniversary is that same time as our visit. We are both unfamiliar with the area so my question is... What is there to do? Im looking for something romantic, exciting and maybe adventurous. Any advice is welcomed. Thanks!

In return, here's a pic of my daily.

Hurricanes? I'm not familiar with that team. Is that hockey? If so, we'll see. We're not big hockey fans. Thanks for the suggestion though!

State fair is great, but unfortunately it will be over on Oct 23.

The restaurant Revolution in downtown Durham is awesome from what I have heard. I used to work as a valet there and the staff was really cool.

Revolution Enter (http://www.revolutionrestaurant.com/Revolution_Durham/Revolution_Enter.html)

And since you are in Durham Southpoint mall isn't very far and is a very huge place with tons of great restaurants around it.

The Streets at Southpoint - Premier Shopping, Dining, Entertainment in Raleigh / Durham, North Carolina (http://www.streetsatsouthpoint.com/)

Also, you aren't very far from Chapel Hill or Raleigh which always has stuff going on in either town/city.

I don't go to Durham much cause from where I live I have to drive through shitty roads or go through the hood to get there (lots of those in Durham), but there's a lot of cool places. I don't know much about em, so i'll tell you about Raleigh and such.

-Sullivans steakhouse is an awesome place to take your lady, as well as a LOT of other nice restaurants and bars/clubs/lounges (mostly nicer establishments) on Glenwood South. In the area are a lot of other bars that aren't as strict on dress code, and there's a lot of places with live music.
-North Hills Mall, Crabtree Valley Mall, Triangle Town Center, and South Point in Durham all have good stores and awesome restaurants. Check out the mall websites.Check out Mura in North Hills if you like Japanese food, sushi, and/or delicious drinks/desserts.
-Lots of places to go skydiving, lots of beautiful parks (although it will be a bit chilly outside), cool scenic stuff...google either when the weather gets warmer.
-2 hours from the beach (Wilmington has a lot of awesome restaurants and bars, not many cool clubs), 3 hours from the mountains (get a cabin for the weekend or go skiing/snowboarding!), not far from Chapel Hill or Greensboro...Charlotte's pretty big but pretty far. If I were you, i'd check out these cities, every one of em in NC has a different vibe, and there's always something fun to do.
-Plenty of venues in the area, lots of good bands (depending on your taste in music), and a lot of different style of venues...

If you want more specific restaurants or need any help as far as shops or meets or anything a local would know, feel free to PM me.

Wow! Thanks for the advice guys!! Sounds like we're going to have plenty of options. Sky diving and snowboarding sounds pretty good! Hopefully the "hood" isnt bad either.
