2000 528i BMW Modded m5 Coilovers / Etc -3500

For Sale 2000 528i.

I have owned this car for about 3 years now, and have done all the work to it. Bought from a private dealer that only sells BMWs. I am selling it now because it seems to have some problem which trips the limp mode and service light. From what my code reader says it’s the throttle body error.
Besides this many things have been changed and updated.
The car has been featured on the homepage of Bimmerforums.com, and was voted one of the nicest utility bmw’s on the forum.
I have driven it long distances, from SF and back. It used to go to Vegas and back on the same tank of gas. I no longer have time to work on it, and I will have to sell it. This is why it is so cheap. This should go to someone who is familiar to BMWs or has worked on one before.

20mm bolt on spacers in the front
17x8 +20 BBS Style 5 Wheels with full spare (5 Wheels)
In Dash Flip out Screen DVD player
Bazooka Tube 10” powered single unit sub tucked in the trunk
OEM 25 speaker premium sound package
M5 Side mirrors, both full convex, with auto curb finding passenger side mirror (for backing up into a spot near a curb, very handy, activates when in reverse)
M5 Front and Rear Bumper
Rear Resonator delete and custom 4 pipe exhaust, just like m5. Deep sound, but still quiet
Sport Package as well as Cold Weather Package
Heated front seats, as well as warm feature that has an electronic water pump and will run the heater for 15mins while the car is off and locked, for going into a store on a cold night or something
Rain sensing windshield
Auto dimming rear view mirror
Sunroof
FOB Auto window down from Keyless remote
Built in slots for roof rack
New Radiator
New Expansion Tank
New radiator hoses
New Belts
New thermostat
New water pump
New VANOS Seals and Serviced VANOS
New front slotted and cross drilled rotors and ceramic pads with new sensors
All new lower suspension arms replaced
Replaced driver door handle
Oil changes regularly along with synthetic oil and OEM BMW oil filters bought from Dealer
LED Tail lights
Projector Lights with DDM Slim HID units along with angel eyes
A/C Is super cold, and the heater is super-hot Best AC car I have ever been in
Included with be the original paperwork bought with the car, pink slip, and the stack of paperwork for items bought for the car.

The bad:
The electrical problem
Passenger windows need new regulator to roll down
Sunroof doesn’t pop up to vent, just opens and closes
Tires are worn
Headlights lenses are faded
A Pillar fabric is separating
Front bumper is cracked and should be replaced
Crack in the windshield
Driver’s seat memory positions don’t work, plug is broken

This is for someone who can fix these problems and you will have an amazing car. I loved driving it, but I have no time to try to fix it. For the price you can part it out and double your money as-is. The coil overs and suspension on it alone are worth 1,700.00

I have a clean title, dealer paperwork, and a stack of paperwork and receipts from service done at BMW of Riverside.
These will be included in the sale.

I also might shoot the thottle body and clean it out. Some people on the forum say if it doesnt actuate properly it will throw and error.

If the throttle doesnt fix it, its proabably a fault with the computer, so it will need to be replaced and re flashed.

Also pulled the ecu to check it for any damage, looks like brand new, the are where the wiring goes into is weatherproof

Remember this isnt a 3500 drive it away everythings perfect. This is cheap because it needs work and money put into it.

A 3500 car is a 1995 honda civic, this is a nice car, and its 3500 because it needs work.

I dont want to sell this to someone who thinks its ready to be driven all over the place.

Put my peake scan tool on it today, after clearing codes it starts up with two codes always.

Throttle Body Final Stage Failure, and DME Control Unit.

The bumper was cracked and stitched. Theres a thread here on it, people loved it. The bumper is trash.
