Anyone know if XS Engineering is still around? Their website was up a couple of months ago...

XS Engineering is still up and running only differently, They currently have their doors closed to the general public and general installs such. They currently focus on large top notch specialty builds and and track side support.

My understanding (I think from a motoiq article?) was that Eric Hsu & the team got tired of cheap ripoffs trying to copy their name and parts (XS power) so they decided to kill the parts for the public. I think it was an article about ripoff companies in general and how they hurt the community.

It's funny how people always complain about how the good companies are dying out, yet they go out and buy the imitation parts. People have to pay to play the game.

Not-so Perfect Competition? Happens everyday with other manufacturers. Yeah Company A does all of the "leg work" with R&D and Company B sends it to China to replicate. Company B then turn around and sell the knockoffs for 1/3 of the price. Just wondering what the difference is now with XS' revenue, public vs. private.

I feel like its easy to justify a change in revenue like that if your margins change in a significant way.

Apparently, they can't keep my engine cool. I don't know if it's the radiator exactly but I'm probably going to do a huge cooling change in a second.

^^ That has nothing to do with the manifold. Annnd... Knockoff radiator or not chances are you just probably need to bleed your car the correct way. A radiator is a radiator for the most part, name brand does not have jack shit to do with it.

Borosun: Ahh ok, The famous BOV manufacturer. Someone threw in a pic of the Xcessive engineering KA manifold Godspeed Knockoff so that's what got me all confuckeled.

It says XS POWER TUNING on his windshield. Doesn't this mean that XS Engineering can sue XS Power for copyright?

You tried bleeding it yet? Anything aftermarket is almost always better than stock radiators. Plastic ends vs full aluminum and probably more coolant capacity. I'd bleed it first and then maybe check the thermostat before you go drastic and replace the radiator.

I had Custom Car Care in York Co flush and bleed it to ensure that it was done right the first time. It started overheating during traffic on the 64 and I was shitting bricks.

I hope I'm wrong but it might be the head gasket. My buddy and I will systemically check the issue (i.e. stat, lines, fans, etc) when we get the chance. Otherwise, I see rad, hoses, stat on the christmas list.

*EDIT*
On a side note, a place called Kapo Nara probably has the best Ramen in the 757.

Do a compression test on the cylinders if you think it's the head gasket. A leak down test might help too but definitely the compression test. GL.

Hit me up next week, I should be back up in Langley. I'll help check it out if you need an extra set of eyes on it.

Been to Kappa Nara, its okay. If you want Sushi, best ones I've had so far are from this place called Kero Sushi off Victory. Not authentic Japanese sushi since real sushi are plain, but its damn good.
