Hey, just looking for some quick feedback. Car dyno'ed at 680whp using a 1.1mm Cosworth head gasket. Head gasket blew few days later on the road. I decided id go with a 1.5mm Cosworth head gasket this time around and get the head decked at a local machine shop make sure everythings ok. Would anyone recommend decking the block as well as i hear its not really needed on the SR (i could be wrong). Also what are your opinions on going with a 1.5mm gasket? Im not worried about lowering the compression as im already running high boost numbers. Ive read Cosworth is pretty reliable, anybody disagree? Thanks for your help.

I don't think the block will need to be decked, however what headstuds/bolts are you running? If it's the regular ARPs, I'd suggest going with Mazworx or another style headstud that preloads the threads by bottoming in the block. Otherwise, cosworth is a great choice, my only complaint, it doesn't have a fire ring...

Hmm, interesting. Wish i knew that before i had orded the regular ARP studs. Will look into the Mazworx head studs. Thanks again.
