go to a junkyard and pull it yourself!

q45 calipers are something around $50 the pair at a junkyard
rotors are about $100 for 2 (can get much cheaper sometimes)
pads are no more then 100ish i think

use that left over to get the ss lines. :)

find one that lists TONS of junkyard (all database info) and search for what you need. it takes like 5 mins and you can hit the phone and call up and verify its in stock/order. its really easy.

Well, I got my Q brakes, powerslot rotors and pads, and a Q re-build kit for about...$360. But then again I kinda overpaid a little for the calipers and have the powerslot rotors. Mine were also, re-drilled for the 4lug. They are a good brake, but in some peoples opinions just go for the Z brakes. If you aren't going to be doing heavy stopping, drifting, or a 5 lug swap anytime soon they are great, afterall, they are still an upgrade to the crappy 240 stock brakes.

Knowing what I know now, I think a starting bid of $325 is rather much. I say go to the junkyard.

I dunno about any rotor, but, we took an old rotor in with the new ones and had them re-drilled, soooo when I go 5-lug I can still use them. As for the rears, still stock....untill I get back from japan *evil grin*

I got rotors, calipers, pads, ss lines, and motul fluid, for $360. Didn't have to rebuild calipers since I got them remanufactured from a parts store. My onle problem was finding a place to get the rotors redrilled. All I did for that is get some stock 4 lug rotors and gave them to a guy who had access to a drill press. They were perfect and they're working. I got a chance to test them out with some raybestos pads(ceremic-quietstops). Well, after like three or four stops from 70mph (back to back) I noticed the brake fade was starting to come around. Very good system; the only thing hindering my stopping power now are the tires.

right now on ebay there a a couple auctions for z32 calipers, 30mm aluminum for $100 for the pair and one set has low miles on them, so if you could pick those up for $100 then the rotors are $150 from HT for cd/s and then the stainless lines are $80 and metal masters pads are$40 so thats $370 right there. or you can get blanks from nopi for $20 a side, so $40 instead of $150 so it saves you $110 so $260 but you gottta get the blanks redrilled and get them zinc coated so they ont rust.
but then again the q brakes are rated for a heavier car and they are only 2 piston instead of 4 and blanks for those can be got @ nopi.com for cheap also, its just finding the calipers and a place to redrill the rotors. plus why are you upgradeing for bling factor or are you actually needing the stopping factor and gonna autox or races? what about needing a proportining valve?

only thing with the 30mm z brakes is you have to have wheels that fit. And if you have coilovers, your wheels can't rub em! for some people, that is a lot more $$ than they want to get into all at once.

wheel and caliper fitment is based on the spoke design not offset so much. so if he doesnt have coilovers all he has to look out for is a spoke design that will clear. or if he gets a wheel like a mesh style that is a flat face he can just use a spacer. do most people use 26mm z32s? i know for sure the wheel and offset i have would have no problem w/ the brake upgrade. but is he really gonna need these? or any brake upgrade at all? i would love to have the z32's to make my wheels look more proportional w/ my koseis or just get different wheels. save your money man for speed instead od trying to stop your tired ka, just my .02cent
