I'm afraid this may be one of those things that you need to experience first hand in order to be able to truly understand it, but here I go...

I noticed this problem a long time ago when I would sometimes turn (left or right) and straighten the wheel out, the wheel might want to stay turned in the direction I just came out of.

EX: I just turned left and now my wheel wants to stay to the left and requires me to push it to the right in order to stay driving straight.

Well now, after a couple months of this, it's gotten worse and will change from left to right and back again while driving in a straight line even. At this point I've replaced just about every single steering component besides the rack itself. (inner and outter tie rods, knuckles, flcas, tension rods, sway bar, and steering rack bushing)

Are these symptoms consistant with the needs of a new rack, or is there something I'm over looking? Any insight would be appreciated, thanks.

I have not, I was thinking this a while back but wasn't able to note any real movement in the rack when I had the front end raised and someone moving the wheel.

However, after much reading, I found someone who just wrote something similar saying they couldn't see any movement while the car was raised but once replaced, they were much better off.

I'll pick up a set and pray to sweet baby jesus that they fix it, because I'd hate to miss an event because of it.

Thanks for setting me on the right path! (potentially) haha

Here is what you do.

Source a HICAS rack.

Install the HICAS rack.

Be better off for the long run.
