So, i am getting ready to start my SR20DET again. It has been sitting in my Garage for about 3 years now. I am going to be changing all of the fluids prior to startup and I'm curious of the proper way to go about starting this motor. I will be cranking the motor without fuel or spark to build oil pressure before firing it up. Do I pour some type of fluid into the cylinders to help lubricate them prior to starting or is there any other tips or advice regarding starting a long sitting motor? I'm really concerned about this because I do not want to damage or hurt anything.. I just want to go about this the proper way and maybe lean towards the side of caution if anything.. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

Remove the plugs, spray a bit of WD-40 in each cylinder (good top end lube), unplug CAS and crank it over to get oil pressure.

Make sure the oil filter is filled with oil when you change it so it builds pressure faster.

use an oil pressure gauge to be SURE your getting oil pressure. yea spun a rod after it was sitting for almost 4 years. i only sound ok now because im have been driving it for a month after the rebuild and put it back together. but yes please use an gauge
