so i have a little sputter when i get on my sr20. i happened to look at the vaccum lines and saw my fpr t-eed to the boost gauge and to the throttle body. i have my hks bov directly to the throttle body.
i thought that the fpr shouldnt be t-eed off to anything, so i ran it straight to the throttle body. and now i have the bov and boost gauge t-eed to the throttle body.
it seems to run with out the sputter now. i only drove if for a mile or so.
comments? it seems to run good
or should i just go back to how all the diagrams show?

I believe your bov should have its own vaccum. I have my fpr tee'd off. Alot of people say you shouldnt do this. I think because in the event of a line going bad on that tee it will cause you to lean out.

Man.. I had my fpr tee'd off for my boost gauge but the t ended up breaking. I drove it around like that for a day with out knowing. I've learned my lesson hundreds of dollars later.

You never look at my boost gauge! Or your an idiot! Even a day is too long to not notice the problems you would have experienced. Lesson learned wtf did you learn....? Not a f'ing thing! The boost gauge was telling you something and you didn't listen. If you weren't running high boost it didn't cost you anything and if you were running high boost you should have glanced at the boost gauge. Stop spreading BS!
Or is it just stupid reasoning?!

so are we good on saying it might be a little safer to have the fpr not tee-d because its one less possibility for a problem? cause thats what im thinking

Let's just say what works and is best for you, is good.
Otherwise no! This is you at full boost, and your fpr vacuum\boost line pops off. new engine. This is me, what the fuck happened to my boost, better slow down and check it out, oh hey look at that no vacuum line, better connect that or I'll be all, he look a like a noob!
Go ahead ask yourself, what do you do when the boost gauge line has a leak in it?
Now! ask yourself, what do you do when the fuel pressure regulator line has a leak in it?
This is my answer for question 1. I look to see why my vacuum is so low or why I'm not reaching full boost or whatever!
Answer for question 2, If my boost gauge reads poor vacuum I'm out checking my lines.
Your way of thinking you would have no wide band, water temp , oil pressure or boost gauge. why because they could potentially drain the battery, short out and cause a fire, leak at the sensors or stop working all together.:picardfp:
Reality... the oem vacuum routing has more than 1 tee and the fpr is tee'd with something. go figure!

Cotbu, Die Slow. Im spreading the truth. And I learned to have the gauges displayed properly so I can see what is going on with my engine. My gauge pod was broken so the gauge happened to be on the floor of my car until my new one came in. Foolish, yes I know.

I know I insulted you, but it wasn't to hurt you. it was to help you!
Listen, you have a vacuum boost gauge, it reads vacuum and boost, your fuel pressure regulator relies on boost and vacuum. seriously I'm not saying anything new.

This sounds like, I'm right but you're to stupid too even realize, that you just confirmed what i said.
Yeah, thanks! I hope my engine dies slow too!. Maybe it'll last for another 7yrs and I can make 800hp with the new technology that comes out!;)

cotbu, take a chill pill man. its not like he blew up your engine. it was his fault and he learned from it.

Here is a diagram works perfect on my setup and my buddies.

BOV needs a solid vaccum
the bottom port on your TB only works when your TB is open.
Get a 1/8 nipple and have it tapped or welded into your hot pipe for the wastegate.
I have my boost gauge T'd into the FPR line that way it reads Vacuum and Boost.

There's one thing that always bugged me, why can't you run the bottom pressure only port for your wastegate? Thought all the wastegate cares about is positive boost?

You can, but someone in a guide/how to, said to cap it off! Now anyone whom says different is wrong! I have a port on my gt2871r for the wastegate, but i run the boost source for the boost control solenoid from the bottom nipple on the s13 sr throttle body.
Some say the length is the problem. I beg to differ.

The bottom vacuum port on the throttle body ONLY works when the throttle is open. So you don't get a constant vacuum when your idling at a light only when your foot is on the pedal.
Cap it off and save yourself the worries and doubts.

I know... that's why it's a good boost only source, I have it connect to the boost control solenoid. I have and you could , run it to the wastegate actuator.
It's connected, I have no worries and no doubts. Did i mention 400hp s13 Sr20!
Don't make me whore it!!!;)
