Greddy rs bov was leaking so I adjusted the screw went for a drive and the car was bucking so I adjusted it back to where it was and the car died and won't start now unless I unplug the maf. When I plug the maf back in the car dies. Not sure if this is a maf or bov problem or both.

No idea how to use a multimeter or what to set it on when using it. Tried searching online and all the how to's use either digital or different symbols.

Battery is in the trunk which is another problem (meter won't reach engine), but I need to find out how the hell to use this thing first.

You need to post a clearer picture of your multimeter. Either way, you have to put it in V DC (volts DC). You don't necessarily need the battery to test the MAFS. Just find a good ground source near it and you can do the full test. Also, you dont neeed to have a digital multimeter, the analog will show the same current reaction as a digital. It will give you some sense of a reading but a digital is recommended.

Found this if it helps, there's a V on both sides which confuses me which to use. I'm guessing I use whichever side I'm using to touch wiring? It doesn't say DC anywhere.

So just find a good ground for the black wire (or red?) and then expose some of the maf wiring and touch the red to it? Look for 12 volts?

Well I fixed the problem, the crimped connectors on the maf wires were a bad idea, remove them and just twist connected them wrapped each in electrical tape and all is good now, going to go buy a solder kit later to finish it.

Now I have a new problem hahaha, I took off the idle air control screw and sprayed some crc maf cleaner all inside. Put the screw back on and now the car won't start even if I pump the gas. Took the screw back out and set a fan on top blowing into the hole and going to let that go for a while hopefully it's just flooded in there a bit and needs to air out.
Edit yeah just needed to crank it a bunch of times. All is good now. Thought I could lower my 1200rpm idle but the screw is already down all the way.
