Interesting stuff about oil

I came across these two indepth analyses of oil and oil filters. I'm not sure if anyone has posted this before but then again, you get about 800 threads if you search for anything on oil.

gist:

AMSOIL is the best 10w or 5w-30 oil. Redline is a teeny bit better when 20w-50 is the weight.

Only problem I have with the oil filter report is the 99' modified date on the data.. Filter Manu. changes a lot.

charles what weight are you using right now? or within a monthes time?

Amsoil High Performance 10w-40.

Next change I'm running Series 2000 0w-30 for the rest of winter, and to series 2000 20w-50 in the spring and summer when I start hitting the track again.
