Ive got two possible plans...
Swap the SR in and up the boost

or build the ka24e and get a turbo kit

My goal is to get low 13's/high 12's at 108-110mph. The other thing is, i have an automatic so please that into consideration, of course...I want the 5spd and i want that to be included in both plans...I need to know which would be more worth my while and most cost effective.

EDIT-Sorry about the topic name...Its supposed to be "I need HELP with my plans."

I'm on the same road only i'm looking for low 10's at the least but hope to lay down a 9.99 From what I've found so far an SR20DE motor is 2500-3000 depending on which model you get. THIS IS NOT A TURBO I found found prices on an SR20DET yet but I'm sure their more. Even with that the boost is low and you'd have to get a bigger turbo. So figure in another 3000 for a turbo kit. So your at 5500-6000. Thats a lot of money for a 12 second car. If you rebuild your motor and put forged rods and pistons your looking at 1200 in parts and another few hundered from the machine shop. So 1600-1800. BUT, now your engine is capable of some HIGH boost. I'm trying to piece together my own kit with a big ball bearing turbo. So for this much larger, higher boost turbo set-up your looking at 4000-4500. This still leaves room for noS too. Or you can try something totally radical like i'm also thinking and get a centrifugal supercharger and adapt it to your intake. Change the pulley and up the boost. No lag, all power, and still run nos. I'm still hunting up prices on the parts for this, 5500-6000 for the SR20DET setup, and 5600-6300 for the KA24ET. Prices are all comprable but it's kinda up to you.

Can you really put a super charger and a turbo charger together? I've only seen it done once... and it was by an OEM.
