hey guys just put in my new motor and it has a really bad tick in the head goes away when you rev it up. i pulled the valve cover off the head is getting lots of oil so its not the oil pump and the cams arent wore out from not getting oil. they have rocker stoppers in them just wondering if they could cause the loud tick???

If I unplug it does it go away I just youtubed some videos and sounds like my problem?

You have to replace the intake cam gear

When it happened to my old s14, I went crazy trying to figure out what it was. My car sounded like a damn diesel. I just kept the rpms up a tiny a bit to avoid the noise by lightly applying throttle. I didn't really notice a difference in a loss of power. It's not going to harm the motor, I drove around like that for like 6 months before I finally changed it
