checked the simple things ground wires spark plugs etc? i had a real bad rough sputtering idle, pulled the plugs and cylinder three and four were both fouled. course i spent an hour checking all the vacuum lines and connections for leaks, but sometimes its just something quick cheap and easy.

One of your injectors is out, it happens on ka's, I've had that problem in every single ka24de (5) now.

I gave the same problem on my ka24e, I just twist the injector a little and it's fine... Bur you can't to that to the de, my guess is bad injector,

What's the downfall of running that injector for a while?

Pull 1 spark plug wire at a time when the car is on.
If the problem doesn't get worse when you pull one plug vs the others focus on that cylinder. Either bad injector as other have said or it's not getting spark.

ok, she was coming over to have the inj checked an it stopped shaking. we replaced the plugs, none were unusually burnt, damaged etc, is it possabl the inj was clogged and it magically freed itsself? i told her to stop running crap fuel, and she hasn't had a problem since.

so. i took the vc off because i heard a weird grinding, thought a rocker had come loose or somthing, and the timing chain guide had broke and was sitting on the top chain, grinding down. it had been there for a while. i freed that up and havent had any problem with it since, now at 107k. oh and she is now my fiancee :)
