ok. i've got a pioneer deph12 headunit which is only 45x4. yeah, i've got fusion 120watt 4x6s in front and back. the back ones already are fucking up. i have the factory cassette underneath the cd player and isn't functional anymore. i have a 300watt pyramid amp/eq that will fit under the head unit. would you have it put in and have 2 pioneer 12''subs in the rear and un-hook the speakers in the shock panels. that'd be 75 watts per sub. one of my friend hasn't got his amp hooked to his 2 12s and hes running a jensen 200watt system to four speakers and then the sub. it sounds as nice as his accord's 600watt pymarid amped 12s. so, right now, would you get the subs and amp/eq hooked up? and unhook the rear speakers since i'm having problems with them? i have two 100watt 61/2'' ts-163p speakers just sitting here new in a box. i can take out the yellow 4x6'' mounts on the shock towers and drill the metal and put in the 61/2'' in. but i think it'd sound great just with the two 4x6s in the front and 2 subs in the rear. do you think this would work out well, until i can't get an amp for the subs?

Ummm,
If you like the sound of bose you'll love that system. You're going to have some serious problems in the midbass range if you're jumping from 4x6" speakers from 12" subs... There is going to be a gap in there that some 6s or 8s need to cover. Pyramid isn't too great either... might want to look into getting a little bit nicer amp... in my 98 I run only front speakers... but in an S14 you get 6½" speakers instead of 4" x 6" ... If you have any other questions ask... The setup I have sounds just absolutley awesome... so you can get good sound out of only front speakers... (Sorry I'm a front stage tweeker) But you'd probably need some largers speakers up there.... that's my opinion anyways...
Jeff
yeah pyramid is just barely audio, i dont want to be a prick, it's okay if you are just learning and doing your first stereo, but you will know the difference when you get some real shit in there...

i feal the same way as them pyrimd is just a wast of money it says on the amp that it produces 600w but in reality it is 200w at max
i know that alot of good amps r too expencive but if you go to www.crutchfield.com look around and you can get a good amp at a good price
i have put together a system for $1,100 all from Crutch Feild that sounded awsome and at the kenwood DB drag it put out 140db's and it was a hot day
