Help me choose

Ok im repainting my 91 240sx fastback, my color preferences is black, Beryllium 16 and sahara gold

my car, yah it doesnt look like there is anything wrong with it but there are around 40 door dings on both sides and a lot of rock chips on my hood and front bumper plus i can get a paint job for a reasonable price.

I would go with the gold, but that's just me.

paint the whole car.
dont forget to paint the a-pillar (dont paint the whole thing, one part stays black)

painted a-pillar is same as kouki 180sx. looks really good. my friend didit on his. maybe i'll get a picture of it later for you

its easier to keep the roof black because i wont have to mask the windows but i do agree that a may look better without black top because both colors are dark

What ever you do, DO NOT PAINT THE DOOR PILLARS!!!!

Well thats just me. I hate painted door pillars on our cars. It just doesn't look good. Except if your repainting your car black or painting the car to a really dark color.

it seems every1 these days are painting their cars gunmetal or dark grey type colors. Whatever happened to good old classic red?

in my opinon, a dark color car is less noticeable then per say a bright color car, like a bright red or yellow. I'll probably paint my car a dark color Lexus has for their cars, cuz with all the mods I plan on doing, I'd want the least amount of cops or ricers annoying me when I drive.

I like your stock color Phoen_x. You should keep it. But a dark lexus color would also look nice.


Jordan. I say take the time to mask it! Either paint the car first and keep the black top, and then see how you like it. If you dont like it. Paint the top.

IMO I would like the painted top. DOOOO it!

I have to say black. Why? Because it's classy. Black is a color that a year down the road you wont be having second thoughts about. Black is never out of style. Just my thoughts.

I have to agree with you on black is nice and classy, but its also a bitch to maintain. You can see almost every scratch and it looks best in darker lights(i.e. shade, my favorite lighting to take my pics in) b/c it looks soo...........GLOSSY! ahaha

Black is also a bad color to choose when going with a production paint shop. All the peel or impurities in the paint will become painfully visible. Trust me, i've been there.

Of the 3 choices that were given I just think black is best. Take it to a good shop and make shure they do it right. As far as keeping it clean sure it is more difficult but is worth it when it is all clean and waxed. The gold color is pretty nasty and that beryllium just wouldn't look right on an s13, maybe not even an s14. I just dont feel it.

say no to weird paint colors.. i will be painting my car fro the 3rd time. and for the 3rd time itll be OEM nissan maroon.

i am actually in a autobody class. I do think i will miss black but i think beryllium would look nice also.
