s13 abs diff in NON-abs car??

any way I can make an ABS diff work in a NON abs car. Blew my rear up yesterday and picked up another rear to find out it was abs and a bit too long. should I just get the driveshaft shortened or am I better off with a new driveshaft? or am I just better off unloading the new rear and buying a non abs one?? Thanks!

i got a vlsd on my non abs shaft and it bolted up fine.
