EDIT: The owner of the wrx actually just texted me again. He's getting a new set of headers, and up pipe, and showed me new wheels hes looking to get... So, a year and a couple months later and the owner of this "rod knock" car is still happy with it, and continues to mod the car!

The only "requirment" or anything of the sort I can see is the "HellaFlush Approved" Sticker, which usually is given out at car shows or events to the cars deemed "Approved", hence why you cant purchase the "HellaFlush Approved" Sticker anywhere.

And maybe he is into the scene and wants to express it, I wouldnt flame someone or hate on them if they had a "RipCurl" sticker on thier car, but no surfboards on the roof racks. Just an expression of a brand that is relevant to ones personal interests.
