Ok, so my SR didn't come with the lower harness so i was going to try and use the KA's but for the trans all the connectors are different, so i pulled a sensor out of each trans and they look the same. Can I just swap the sensors? If yes, the KA trans has 3 sensors and the sr has 2. Which 2 do I use? (2 have a grey connector one has a black). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you are supposed to use the ka speed sensor i am not sure on the others though

You do not need a SR trans harness for your swap. The KA will have one or two extra connectors that you won't need, just wrap them up or cut them off. Swap out the speed sensor on the SR trans for the KA one. There should be a distinct connector for each sensor. The wrong connector will not fit onto the sensor end, so just try with different ones until something fits.

The rest is just plug and play.

I thought you only have to swap speed sensors if you're putting an s13 sr into a 95 s14. I didn't swap sensors and my speedometer works fine (I do have the sr lower harness though). I can't get my tach to work, but doesn't the speed sensor measure road speed and not engine speed?

which one is the speed sensor

If your tach doesn't work it's probably because of miswiring on the Mxx connector (forgot what number).

You have to swap out the speedsensor regardless. Your speedo works, but you'll be driving extra slow since the JDM speed sensor is, of course, calibrated for Japan (i.e. km).

my tach works now (wired it into the cas) and my speedo is acurate (sr speed sensor, ka cluster). I don't see why you have to swap speed sensors. I tried the sr cluster with the sr speed sensor and the speedo was way high.

danmilo- cut the rpm wire at the ecu plug (i think it's green and red or red and yellow) and splice into pin 22 (white).
