so over the last few months ive started noticing at random times that my brakes will seem to "skip" very quickly at certain times. i have a NON ABS s13 (just to make that clear). sometimes when braking, ill take the car out of gear and begin to roll to a stop. when applying the brakes, they will skip just ever so slightly when getting closer to a complete stop. ive noticed the RPMs dip pretty heavily when this happens. my BOV is recirculated (its an authetic HKS SSQV3), my pads and rotors are like 6 months old at most, i just installed brand new control arms all around, all of my caliper bolts are factory torque spec'd (i double checked the bolts last week when adjusting my caster), the rotors are clean (meaning no hot spots from finger oils or debris), im gonna double check all the vacuum lines and brake booster lines in the morning (sunday), none of the calipers have torn boots or rust on them and the ebrake is adjusted well within OEM spec.
im almost wagering that my BMC is going bad. my BMC in my nissan pickup was wearing out, but i never experieced anything like this. the pedal would go from hard to soft in the truck. in my s13, the pedal is always consistant.
so outside of a POSSIBLE vacuum leak or the BMC going bad, any ideas? (and im not a n00b to these cars, been building them for over 10 years now, this is the first time ive run into anything like this)
